Dear Patients and Friends of Dentistry at Nahor:
Thank you for your ongoing support of the Dentistry at Nahor family. Over the past several months, our family and staff have been deeply moved by the outpouring of kindness, compassion, and loyalty from this community.
As Dr. Leo Scholl’s wife, I’ve witnessed firsthand the dedication, care, and integrity he poured into this practice over the years. Dentistry at Nahor was his life’s work—built with passion, principles, and a deep commitment to his patients and team. The community he created here was one of his proudest accomplishments.
That’s why finding the right person to carry his legacy forward has mattered so deeply—not just to me, but to everyone who knew and worked alongside Dr. Scholl. Today, I’m honored to introduce Dr. Marko Ilich as the new owner of Dentistry at Nahor. I am fully confident he is the person Dr. Scholl would have chosen to continue his work.
Thank you for continuing to trust Dentistry at Nahor with your care. Our entire dedicated team remained with us during this challenging period, ensuring you’ll be greeted and cared for by the same warm, smiling faces on your next visit. Meet Dr. Marko
Dr. Marko brings warmth, integrity, and clinical excellence to every aspect of the practice. He shares the same values that have long defined Dentistry at Nahor: treating patients like family, prioritizing comfort and trust, and building lasting relationships within the community.
Dr. Marko grew up in Macedonia, where he was inspired by his father’s work as a dentist. From an early age, he developed a strong interest in dentistry and a desire to care for others—values that continue to guide his approach to patient care today. He earned dual degrees in Biology and Chemistry before completing his Doctor of Dental Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, graduating with honors. Committed to excellence, Dr. Marko stays current with the latest advances in technology and evidence-based dentistry, to provide the highest standard of care.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, and the Richmond Dental Society. Beyond the office, Dr. Marko is dedicated to giving back. He volunteers with Mission of Mercy clinics across Virginia and has provided care through international outreach programs, including pediatric dentistry in Belize.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Marko enjoys spending time outdoors with his family—hiking, cycling, gardening, and exploring national parks.
Dr. Marko is honored to lead the incredible team at Dentistry at Nahor. The familiar faces you know and trust remain part of the practice, and together, they look forward to continuing the tradition of excellent care in a warm, supportive environment.
